The Beach Food Pantry and Kitty Hawk Rotary Club are teaming up to help fight hunger in Dare County. Outer Banks CommonGood posted a great story to remind us that:

“As the new school year approaches, it is important to remember that food is the most important school supply of  all! You can help by stuffing the bus with donated nonperishable food. Look for the Dare County School Bus on Thursday, August 22  from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Harris Teeter parking lot in Kill Devil Hills (MP 10). Volunteers will be on hand with lists of the needed food items and to assist donors.”
