Anybody headed through Southern Shores will be a fan of this effort to halt traffic back-ups and correct safety issues; Southern Shores Crossing is getting another entrance! Michelle Wagner, writing for the Outer Banks Voice, has all the deets.
“A second access point to the Southern Shores Crossing Shopping Center will be added at the north end of the complex in an effort to alleviate congestion at the nearby intersection and improve traffic flow within the parking lot.
The Town Council has approved a site plan application and zoning change to allow for construction of an entrance and exit on a vacant lot immediately north of the Southern Shores Realty office.
It is the second of two access points into the center. The first access is on the south end of the shopping center near the town hall.”
