According to the Outer Banks Voice a small plane crashed while on approach to First Flight Airport in Kill Devil Hills on Sunday, injuring the pilot and passenger. The FAA is scheduled to begin their investigation on Monday.
“A small plane crashed Sunday morning near the First Flight Airport in Kill Devil Hills, narrowly missing several houses in the Baum Bay neighborhood.
The pilot and a passenger appeared to escape with minor injuries, according to eyewitnesses.”
