nu-blu hits the lost colony stage friday

Great music for a great cause! Check out Nu-Blu at the Lost Colony’s Soundstage Theatre this Friday evening! It’s all part of Veterans Writing Weekend sponsored by the Dare County Arts Council, local businesses and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau.

On Friday, November 14th at 7pm, The Lost Colony, the Dare County Arts Council, and the Dare County Veterans Advisory Council, will host Billboard Chart-topping North Carolina-based bluegrass artists, Nu-Blu, at The Lost Colony’s Sound Stage Theater. The concert is presented by PNC Bank.

Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased online at Dare County Arts Council at 300 Queen Elizabeth Street, Manteo NC or online at www.obxvwp.org.  You can also call DCAC at (252) 473-5558 to reserve your ticket.

General admission tickets are $12 in advance and $18 at the door ($12 at door with a military ID). Gold Circle preferred seating is available for $30 per ticket.

Proceeds from ticket sales are used to support veterans programs including the Outer Banks Veterans Writing Project.

The Veterans Writing Project is a Washington DC-based nonprofit organization that hosts free writing workshops for veterans.  Their mission is to support veterans and their families by teaching them how to tell their stories through creative writing.  Dare County Arts Council is proud to bring the Veterans Writing Project back to the Outer Banks for the second consecutive year.

The concert and writing workshop are part of OBX Veterans Week, sponsored by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau.
