With their new interactive displays, history comes alive at the touch of a screen that provides the latest data on the USS Monitor, a Civil War era ironclad resting on the seabed off Hatteras. For the scientific minded there is a full array of information on energy use, the weather and the ocean.

Located in the pier house, the first interactive exhibit, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) kiosk, shares information and photographs about the Monitor National Marine Sanctuary and its cultural and natural marine resources, as well as displays area weather and ocean conditions.”
