Summeritaville
Come on down to Summeritaville on Friday!

“The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, Resort Realty, The Outer Banks Hospital, Kitty Hawk Kites, and Waves Village Watersports Resort are pleased to present the 3rd Annual Summeritaville Music Event. This year’s event will be held from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Waves Village Watersports Resort in Rodanthe, NC. Other event sponsors include OneBoat Local Networks, Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative, Haoles Sushi and Sake Bar, Outer Beaches Realty, Hatteras Recycle, and Southern Insurance.
Summeritaville will feature live music from SOULone and Jonny Waters. Additionally, there will be great food and beverages, a craft beer garden, raffle prizes, activities for children, watersports and skill toy demos, local craft vendors, and more. Food sponsors include Good Winds Restaurant, Haoles Sushi and Sake Bar, Lisa’s Pizzeria, OBX Winery, Sooey’s BBQ & Rib Shack, and OBX Sunset Slush.
Jonny Waters is a multi-talented musician from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Jon’s music has been influenced by his life’s path, from being raised on a farm in small town USA; to spending hours on the Albemarle Sound farming the waters; to keeping the peace and guarding our freedom in the U.S. Army during a tour in Iraq; to being stationed in Germany away from his family and friends; to gaining the fundamentals of the music industry at South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas; to writing and recording his original hits; and developing his grass roots fan base from Texas to Tennessee to North Carolina and the Tidewater, Virginia area. Jonny has focused his talent into his voice and guitar. His sound is strongly influenced by Blue-eyed Soul, Blues, Folk, Reggae and Acoustic music.
SOULone also is a local band on the Outer Banks, fusing musical styles like acoustic rock, reggae, blues jazz and funk. They mold all of these expressions into their own, creating a unique experience. Voted 5 out of 5 stars on WeddingWire.com, they are capable of making any private party or wedding a time to remember. Their carefully selected cover songs can range from mellow “beach-like” music such as Jack Johnson, G Love, Bob Marley and Sublime; then go to a more rock-influenced sound like Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam, Snow Patrol and Pete Yorn; then step way back to cover songs from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Steve Miller Band, Tom Petty and more. Any way you slice it, it’s just great music that you can connect with.

“Our goal for Summeritaville is to celebrate the beautiful Outer Banks through a family fun event for both locals and visitors,” said Chamber President & CEO Karen Brown. “There will be live music, food, beverages, games, beach bucket raffles and a gorgeous view of the sound,” added Brown. “We’ll celebrate together a great 2015 on the Outer Banks!”
